NOW INCLUDES BONUS TRACK "EVERYONE KNOWS"

This acoustic guitar song was written and recorded onto a mobile phone on a roof terrace in London in August 2016. It was a song offered across the skies after being inspired by the words and work of the volunteers in the documentary The White Helmets.

We will send you a free download code to this track with every purchase of the single Time to Mourn/From Fear to Fury which is raising funds in aid of grass roots charity organisation Phone Credit for Refugees.

The charity has a 100% donation policy. Every £20 top-up goes directly to refugees and displaced people desperate to speak to their families and to access important information on open borders and asylum rights.

"It moves me to tears on the second listen..Then ferocious drums arrive as if by train getting nearer and nearer, louder and louder and the vocals sing out a siren call. It's the sound of PTSD expertly expressed and emotive as hell. It's a testimony to the times we are living through right now" ***** GRRRLS WITH GUITARS

"Epic new single from a classic album. A soundtrack to life in 2016" LOUDER THAN WAR

"A special track from a special band" John Kennedy's X-Posure Hot One, RADIO X

lyrics

Time to Mourn

I was a young man
I didn't want to leave
I took my prayer beads
And my mother's ring
There is no time to mourn
Feels like they're shelling my soul
Standing at the edge of everything
Standing at the edge
Standing at the edge

Burnt paper fills the streets
The manuscripts are gone
Our history is ash
Swallowed up in flame
And if we have no past
We don't have anything
Standing at the edge of everything
Standing at the edge
Standing at the edge

I know I'm running out of strength to start again
I know I'm running out of strength to start again
I know I'm running out of strength to start again
I know I'm running out of strength to start again

I was a young man
I didn't want to leave
